About Me

Hi, I’m Patrick! Gamer, hobbyist, and the person behind Boardgame Tuning.

I’ve been passionate about games my whole life, from daily sessions on PC and PlayStation to discovering the world of tabletop and miniature gaming. In 2018 I picked up my first Warhammer Kill Team box and haven’t put a brush down since. What started with a few Citadel paints and official Warhammer guides quickly turned into a deep dive into one of the most creative hobbies out there.

Over the years I’ve painted miniatures from all kinds of universes: Warhammer factions, World War II troops for Bolt Action, Star Wars Legion, and a growing collection of board game miniatures from Kickstarter projects like Chronicles of Drunagor, Zombicide, Death May Die, and Tamashii. I’ve also built props and terrain pieces like bunkers and trees, and designed 3D printed inlays to give every board game the organized, premium feel it deserves. That last part is where the name Boardgame Tuning comes from, because why settle for the box as it is?

My painting style has evolved a lot over the past years. Drybrushing, Slap Chop, using oil paints, … I try everything and switch between techniques constantly. That’s what keeps it fun.

This website is my gallery. No tutorials, no reviews. Just the work.
